What would you be doing:

People Operations:

  • Maintain, update and audit employee records in our HRIS system, Rippling.
  • Create and maintain resources such as Notion, welcome kits, and cultural guides to support employees.
  • Assist in running payroll and confirming contractor payments arrive on time

Culture Curator:

  • Plan and execute quarterly virtual events as well as the company’s annual in-person meetup. 
  • Regularly assess and improve culture-related programs and initiatives based on employee feedback and best practices.
  • Organize team-building activities and recognition programs to foster a sense of community and enhance employee morale.
  • Support and promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the organization. 

Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Assist in posting job openings on various job boards and our company’s website.
  • Screen resumes and conduct initial phone interviews to assess candidate qualifications and cultural fit.
  • Collaborate closely with candidates, hiring managers, and interviewers to create seamless, efficient, and engaging interview experiences. 
  • Enhance the onboarding experience by coordinating and scheduling engaging and informative orientation sessions for new hires.

Benefits Administration:

  • Assist employees with benefits enrollment and be a point of contact for benefits-related questions.
  • Coordinate with benefits providers and manage employee benefits documentation.

Training and Development:

  • Coordinate training sessions and workshops.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and resources.

In Office Responsibilities: 

  • Manage day-to-day office tasks such as organizing office supplies, restocking the fridge, coordinating lunches and in person events.
  • Maintain office supplies and food inventory and placing orders as needed.
  • Oversee office facilities and ensure they are clean, organized, and well-maintained.

Why Are We Excited About You?

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • You possess strong organizational and time management skills.
  • You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You can handle confidential information with discretion.
  • You are familiar with the Google Suite, Notion and Slack.
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and any previous internship or work experience in HR is a plus.
  • You are passionate about HR and eager to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.

What to Know Before You Apply:

  • This position is based at our office in Chicago or Denver and would require being in the office 2-3 days a week. Some flexibility in working hours may be required to accommodate occasional evening events.

We believe employees should be paid fairly and equitably. Salary ranges may vary depending on your previous experience. The Chicago salary for this role is: $45,000 - $55,000.
